EMSCO Completes Large Motor Control Project for Petro Constructors Fridley Minnesota, June 24th, 2010 --Electric Motor Supply Company (EMSCO), a supplier of used and refurbished electrical equipment, announces the completion of a large project for Petro Constructors. Petro Constructors, LLC is a Texas USA based multi-discipline construction company specializing in field construction, engineering, procurement, emergency services and industrial maintenance for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. www.petroconstructors.com PETRO ordered a large “Plant MCC” that was 13 back-to-back sections that included 29- New Benshaw Soft Starts, 5- New Benshaw VFD’s, 13- Reconditioned starter buckets, 7- Reconditioned feeder buckets and 3- Reconditioned transformers. They also bought a smaller MCC (11 sections), with a Main Distribution Board, 4- Distribution panels, 1- New Steelman Capacitor Bank and 3- Used reconditioned transformers. Both MCC’s also contained new Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors and Secondary Surge Arrestors. EMSCO was able to complete this large project in a timely fashion. With our skilled employees, all equipment was painted, refurbished (if necessary) and put together to the customer specifications. Thoroughly going through each bucket was a must, as they contained many components and required complex wiring. This was EMSCO’s first large Re-UL labeling project and therefore the smaller equipment was completed first, to make sure we were on the right track for the UL inspector/guidelines. Because of EMSCO’s quality in our shop, the inspector was able to pass all the equipment after his two day visit. The Plant MCC was then started and completed in another three weeks. With the knowledge from our first UL inspection, the Plant MCC passed inspection in 1 day. Petro was very satisfied with the lead time on the equipment and with the pricing. New equipment would have had a 10-12 week lead time. Once EMSCO was able to begin work on the equipment, some equipment was done in 3 weeks and the remainder was done in an additional 3 weeks.
