EMSCO Announces Completion of Major Reclamation Project

The mall, which was originally built in 1989, is being demolished. Plans are to rebuild part of the property and to have a park on some of the land. They are also planning for restaurants, shops and offices, with the projected overall completion date of 2019.

The demolished building consisted of 3 floors and 1.2 million square feet. It officially closed on March 5, 2009.

The removal of the electrical equipment started in September, 2009 and the EMSCO crew has completed the removal which resulted in 6 semi truck loads of electrical equipment. This equipment will be repainted, refurbished and resold.
